rx
A command of the separate bcma command line; see Commands for other chip families.
Packet RX debug operations.
rx <subcmd> [<action>] [<netif_id>] [options]
Built-in help
This command is used to create and manage packet watchers. A packet
watcher monitors a specific network interface and dumps all packets
received on this interface in real time. RxPmdList is used for list
all supported fields of RX packet metadata. ReasonList is used for
all supported reasons names.
RX watcher recieved packets can be logged to file by Watcher's subcommand
'Output'. 'OutputFile' parameter specifies the file for storing data.
Logging starts only when LoGging=on issued and stops by command with
LoGging=off. Note that the file may only be read-able after LoGging=off.
The log file will use the same output format as the console.
Watcher - Create RX watcher on a network interface.
Create <netif_id> [options] - Create a RX watcher on a network
interface. If -1 or not input
netif_id, the global RX watcher
will be created.
ShowPacketData=[yes/no] - Dump packet raw data.
DumpDataSize=<value> - Maximum size for packet data dump.
(256 bytes by default)
ShowMetaData=[yes/no] - Dump packet metadata.
ShowRXReason=[yes/no] - Dump packet RX reason.
LoopbackData=[yes/no] - Forward RX data to TX for test.
ShowRxRate=[yes/no] - Show each 100k packets' RX rate.
TerminateNetif=<value> - Terminate the packets from the
network interface.
TerminateVlan=<value> - Terminate the packets from
the VLAN.
TerminateMatchID=<value> - Terminate the packets with
specified RXPMD MATCH_ID.
Destroy <netif_id> - Destroy a RX watcher. If -1 or not input
netif_id, all RX watchers will be
destroyed.
Output [options] - Log RX watcher recieved packets to file.
OutputFile=<file> - File to store the packet data.
LogEnable=[on|off] - Start/Stop logging data to file.
ConsoleEnable=[on|off] - Display data on console. Default
is 'on'.
RxPmdList [options] - list supported RXPMD field names.
DeviceType=<value> - Device Type (e.g. BCM56xxx_a0).
ViewName=<value> - View name.
ReasonList - list all RX_REASON names.
