tx

A command of the separate bcma command line; see Commands for other chip families.

Transmit packets.

tx <count> [options]
<object> [options]

                           RAW: API doesn't handle RCPU Header and
                           TXPMD.
    File=<filename> - Load hex packet data from file and ignore
                           various other pattern parameters below.
    DATA=<packet> - Parse string given by user as packet payload
    LENgth=<value> - Specify the total length of the packet,

    PATternInc=<value> - Value by which each word of the data
                           pattern is incremented.
    PATternRandom=[yes/no]- Use Random data pattern
    PerPortSrcMac=[yes/no]- Associate specific (different) src macs
                          with each source port.
    SourceMac=<value> - Source MAC address in packet.
    SourceMacInc=<val>   - Source MAC increment.
    DestMac=<value> - Destination MAC address in packet.
    DestMacInc=<value>   - Destination MAC increment.
    McQType=[yes/no] - Egress queue type is MC queue.
    NetifId=<value>      - Network interface ID.
    RandomMINLENgth=<value> - Minimum of random length.
    RandomMAXLENgth=<value> - Maximum of random length.
    AUTOFill=<value> - Fill up payload to LENgth if DATA
                           string is less than specified LENgth.
    CRC=<value> - None: TX command ignores CRC.
                           Append: TX command appends CRC.
                           Keep: TX command keeps CRC
    TXPMDxxx=<value> - Configure TXPMD field xxx.
    LBHDRxxx=<value> - Configure Loopback header field xxx.
    HGxxx=<value> - Configure Higig field xxx.

    HG3xxx=<value>       - Configure Higig3 field xxx.
    DumpDataSize=<value> - Maximum bytes for packet data dump.
                           (256 bytes by default)
Special objects:
    HiGigList - list supported Higig field names.
    HiGig2List - list supported Higig2 field names.
    HiGig3List [options] - list supported Higig3 field names.
        DeviceType=<value> - Device Type (e.g. BCM56xxx_a0).
        ViewName=<value>   - View name.
    TxPmdList [options] - list supported TXPMD field names.
        DeviceType=<value> - Device Type (e.g. BCM56xxx_a0).
        ViewName=<value>   - View name.
    LbHdrList [options] - list supported Loopback header field names.
        DeviceType=<value> - Device Type (e.g. BCM56xxx_a0).
        ViewName=<value>   - View name.
    MinPktSize [value] - list or set the allowable minimum packet
                          size for transmission (not including CRC).

<portlist> is one or more comma-separated ports or port ranges, for
example "pl=2,4-8,21". An empty list is specified as "pl=none".
When configure packet metadata's multiple view fields, the view type
must be input before it's fields.
RandomMINLENgth and RandomMAXLENgth should be used together to specify
a "tx" command sends one or multiple packets with random lengh in
the range.
When use "DATA" to input the payload, if "AUTOFill" option is
set and the string is less than the "LENgth" specified,
incomplete string is auto-filled.
"PATternRandom" is used to specify auto-filling with data randomly
generated or incremented.
