Attach

Shortest form: a.

Show which switch devices are attached to the SDK, or attach more.

No argument: one line per device found by probe, for example attach: Unit 0 (<device>): attached (current unit). Read-only. If no probe has run, it prints Probe command not yet performed and fails.
Unit numbers: attach each unit. * attaches every probed unit that is not attached yet.

Attaching only sets up the SDK’s bookkeeping for a unit; it does not initialise the chip. On a running SONiC switch unit 0 is always attached already, so the attaching forms just fail with Unit already attached.
