MCSLoad

Load hexfile to MCS memory

MCSLoad

Shortest form: mcsl.

Load a firmware image into an embedded core and optionally start it:

MCSLoad <ucnum> <file> [InitMCS=<bool>] [ResetUC=<bool>] [StartUC=<bool>] [StartMSG=<bool>] [TwoStage=<bool>] [TwoStageAddress=<n>]

InitMCS (default false) initialises the whole subsystem, not just one core; ResetUC, StartUC and StartMSG (default true) reset the core, start it after the load and start messaging. The shell also accepts TwoStage and TwoStageAddress, which the built-in help does not list: the core is started first and the loader waits for it (Waiting for Core-<n> to start, Waiting for L2$ to be configured) before loading the image.

Warning

MCSLoad resets the core and replaces its firmware. Any SAI feature running on that core stops. Do not use on a production switch.

Unvalidated

drivshell> mcsload 0 /tmp/firmware.srec StartMSG=true

Built-in help

Load the MCS memory area from <file.srec>.
uCnum = uC number to be loaded.
InitMCS = Init the MCS (not just one UC) (false)
ResetUC = Reset the uC (true)
StartUC = uC out of halt after load (true)
