RXInit

Shortest form: rxi.

Initialise the SDK packet-receive (RX) layer on the unit given as the argument; the shell’s current unit is ignored. The unit number may be decimal or 0x hex. Without an argument the command prints RXINIT requires unit specification and its help. If initialisation fails, it prints ERROR: bcm_rx_init(<unit>) returns <rv>: <message>.

Warning

SONiC’s syncd relies on the same RX layer to get packets to the host. Re-initialising it under a running syncd can break the host packet path. Do not use on a production switch.
