KILL

Terminate a background job

KILL

Stop a background job by its number (decimal). Prints Job <n> killed or Job <n> not found.

The job’s thread is stopped wherever it happens to be. If it is in the middle of an SDK call, it can leave locks held or an update half done, and syncd may then hang or misbehave. Prefer letting jobs finish.

Unvalidated

drivshell> kill 1

Built-in help

    Destroy a background task.
Use 'jobs' to see a list of tasks currently in the background.
