STACKMode

Set/get the stack mode

STACKMode

Shortest form: stackm.

Show or set the stacking mode of a unit. Without SL, HG or NONE the command prints the current mode as Stack flags for unit <n>: (0x<flags>), followed by the names of the set flags (capable, enable, inactive, simplex, duplex, none, sl, hg, internal, no_link). With any of the three keys it sets the mode to exactly the flags given and clears the others. Unit=<n> sends the call to another unit. An unknown key prints the usage. The built-in help notes that only SL=T is really supported. Higig/SL stacking does not apply to a SONiC switch: a SONiC Trident 3 switch reports Stack flags for unit 0: (0x20) with only none set.

Reading the mode is safe. Setting it changes SDK stacking state behind syncd; do not do this on a running SONiC switch.

Hardware-validated — Read the stack mode
