POP

Pop an entry from a FIFO

POP

Take entries out of a hardware FIFO memory and print them (Popped in <table>.<block>: <entry>, or Pop: Fifo empty).

Warning

Popped entries are gone: the SDK thread that normally drains the FIFO never sees them. On a Trident 3 the SDK’s L2 learning and aging code reads L2_MOD_FIFO, so popping it hides L2 events from syncd.

Grammar: pop [quiet] [<COUNT>] <TABLE> (the first two in any order). Only FIFO memories are accepted (ERROR: <t> table does not support FIFO push/pop). On chips without FIFO push/pop support the command fails without output; it may do so on Trident 3.

Unvalidated

drivshell> pop quiet L2_MOD_FIFO

Built-in help

Parameters: [quiet] [<COUNT>] <TABLE>
The quiet option indicates not to complain on FIFO empty.
