TCAM

TCAM control

TCAM

Control an external TCAM (the knowledge-based processor attached to some Triumph 3 systems). Trident 3 systems have no external TCAM. On a SONiC Trident 3 switch tcam info fails with TCAM: ERROR: Feature unavailable, followed by the SAI shell’s Failed to execute the diagnostic command. Error: Operation failed.; the other sub-commands except init are expected to fail the same way or print TCAM info not found. Not initialized.

Warning

tcam init runs the Triumph 3 external-memory initialisation on the unit. Do not use it on a Trident 3.

Sub-commands (keywords in full, any case): info, write Partition=<p> Index=<i> Mask=<m> Data=<d> [Count=<n>] [Valid=<v>], dump Partition=<p> Index=<i> [Count=<n>] [Display=<bool>], search, ib, ima, dbreg, calc, prbs <set|get|clear> [poly=<0..3>] [seed=<n>] and latency, as in the built-in help.

Hardware-validated
