MUXsel

Set I2C LPT state (MUX for clock-chip-selects)

MUXsel

Shortest form: mux.

Show or set an I2C multiplexer (clock-chip select) of a reference board: muxsel [<mux_device>] [<channel>]. Without a channel it prints Read I2C MuxSel = 0x… (<bits>), with one it selects it (Write I2C MuxSel = …). The built-in help lists the devices lpt0, mux0 and mux1; without a device name the shell picks a default from the detected board type and prints NOTICE: board type unknown. when it cannot tell.

This is a utility for Broadcom reference boards, using the I2C bus of the switch chip. On a SONiC switch the device is usually missing and the command prints MUXsel: cannot open I2C device <name>: ….
