TEMPerature

Shortest form: temp.

Show the temperatures reported by the board’s I2C temperature sensors (LM75/MAX664x-style devices found by i2c probe), or monitor them in the background: temperature [show], temperature watch [<delay>], temperature nowatch. Keywords may be abbreviated to any prefix.

This reads the sensors on the switch chip’s I2C bus of Broadcom reference boards, not the switch chip’s own temperature monitors and not the platform sensors that SONiC shows. On a SONiC switch it usually finds no sensors: on a SONiC Trident 3 switch temperature show printed only Using generic board type and no readings. Other boards may print NOTICE: board type unknown.. Use show platform temperature in SONiC instead.
