TestList

Shortest form: tl.

List the built-in diagnostic tests with their state and run statistics: whether a test is active (A) or selected (S), how often it has run, passed and failed. A test ID is a test number, a test name or *. A name may be shortened to any unique prefix, and the first match wins.

  • no argument, or *: the tests supported on this chip;

  • all: every test, including those not supported on this chip;

  • fail: only the numbers of the tests that have failed, or All tests passed;

  • test IDs: just those tests.

The build includes 76 tests, among them 1 Register reset defaults, 3 Register read/write, 5 BIST, 18 MAC Loopback, 19 PHY Loopback, 39 New Snake Test, 50 Memory Fill/Verify, 54 TD3/MV2 Special Mem Test and 72 Traffic Test. Run them with testrun.

Read-only. The table form reports failure when no listed test has run yet or when any has failed, so scripts can check the result. Through the SAI front-end that failure shows as Failed to execute the diagnostic command. Error: Operation failed. after the table, which is what you see on a switch where no test has ever run.
