Reboot the processor

RESET

Alias of reboot.

Alias of reboot: it makes syncd exit, and SONiC restarts it. Unlike reboot, the drivshell> prompt does not block reset. With an argument it only prints the usage.

Warning

reset restarts syncd and interrupts all traffic. Never run it on a production switch.
