Edit each field of SOC internal register

EditReg

Shortest form: er.

Edit a register field by field. The shell reads the register, prints Current value: 0x…, then asks for each field in turn; type a new value or press Enter to keep it. A value too wide for a field is refused (Value too big for <n>-bit field, try again.). At the end it prints Writing new value: 0x… and writes the register.

Warning

This writes the hardware behind SONiC’s back (see Setreg).

editreg needs an interactive terminal. Through bcmcmd there is no one to answer the prompts, so use Modreg instead.
