TestRun

Run a specific or selected tests

TestRun

Shortest form: tr.

Run diagnostic tests.

  • testrun: run all selected tests (see testselect) with their configured loop counts and parameters.

  • testrun <test> [<loops>] [<arguments>]: run one test. A number after the test ID is the loop count, and anything else is passed to the test as its arguments (see testparameters).

A test that this chip does not support is refused with use "testmode +override" to override and run. Only one test can run at a time (Already running).

Warning

The tests write registers and tables, reset parts of the chip and send test traffic. They destroy the configuration that syncd programmed, and some reinitialise the chip. Run them only on a switch taken out of service, and restart syncd afterwards.

Built-in help

Parameters: [Test ID] [arguments]
With no parameters runs all selected tests with the set
loop counts and set parameters. Otherwise, runs a specific
test with the specified loop count and arguments. You may
want to use "set RCTest=true" so that some tests (like
loopback) will properly initialize using rc.soc).
